Welcome to Week 23 -27
This week is an impromptu speech. Talk about online classes. In front of your family, begin as we always do
"Hi my name is ______. I am going to tell you about my online classes." (tell what you have been doing, what you have learned, how is online classes different from the classroom) Don't forget to end with "Thank you for listening"
**Use the finger trick to help you remember what you are going to say:
Thumb - intro
3 fingers - three things to talk about
pinky - closing
Have someone record and email me. I would love to hear your speeches and I miss seeing your beautiful faces.
If you didn't do last weeks assignment below, try it.
Students really had fun and I was sent some very funny stories!

1st - 6th Speech - Week of March 16 - 20
Here are the assignments I had plan for Speech this week. Watch the videos to learn more about St. Joseph Altars! This is a wonderful tradition and we could use the intersession of St. Joseph right now. Ask St. Joseph to help heal everyone who is sick, to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, and that we use this time to help strengthen our families and love for others.
Have you ever played MadLibs?
If you haven't, I bet your parents have. We were going to do this with your friends in class, but this would be a great game to play with your family!
Pick one of the madlib choices from the folder below. Do not you let your partner see your paper. Then you will ask them for words to fill in the blanks. Look under the blank to tell them what kind of word to give you.
For example: "give me a noun."
When you are done, read the story out loud like you are giving a speech. Your family will be impress on how you present yourself. Present like we always do:
"Hi my name is __________. Today I am going to tell you a story. (read your funny story) Thank you for listening".
I would love to hear your stories too. You can record and email them to me if you want.
